    Chemo Port in Chest

    This model shows the placement of a chemo port.  The model was segmented using 3DSlicer from a CT scan of an 80 year old female, 62 inches tall and 135 pounds. The model also shows the tube from the port to the top of the heart.  At age 78 the patient had compression fractures at L1 and T12.  Kyphoplasty was used to repair the fractures.  As a result the model shows calcium buildup at the compression fractures.  The models of the compression fractures and kyphoplasties are available at Embodi3D.  The STL file includes the skeleton in the pictures.  Scan file Embodi3D.B

    55 skeletal elements (starting with C6) have been separately segmented and are provided as separate STL models. Although the femur and humerus are truncated in the CT scan, the heads are complete for measurements.

    This model was segmented using 3DSlicer from a reconstructed CT with an IV contrast agent and a slice thickness=2.50mm. The CT scan is from an 80 year old female, 62 inches in height and 135 pounds.  The model is full size.  The model includes the spine, ribs, pelvis, lungs, heart, aorta, liver, stomach, spleen, kidneys and intestines.   The front of the stomach is flat because it was cut off during the CT scan.  The STL file is probably not 3D printable because of the many voids.  However, with 3DBuilder software (which is available on most PCs) the model can be enlarged, rotated and viewed in 3D.  This mode is an excellent teaching resource.  Scanfile:C/A/P
