  This was so incredibly helpful! I've been struggling with this for months, trying to remesh 3D fossil and artifact scans. I did have to make a slight change to the script to make it work in Blender 2.8. Maybe you could note in your instructions that a slight edit is needed for 2.8. Here is what I changed: bpy.context.object.modifiers["Shrinkwrap"].use_keep_above_surface = True -- changed to -- bpy.context.object.modifiers["Shrinkwrap"].wrap_mode = 'ON_

  The whole time I was thinking that I'm doing something wrong, because it's impossible for a TAAA to be that big. This was beyond everything I ever saw for 22 years of medical education and experience. But yes, it's THAT big. I segmented the lumen, I added 2 cm margin around it to create a hollow shell, then I added the media of the aneurysmic sack and all the atherosclerotic plaques for extra realism. There was a part of the sack, which went into one of the perihepatic space, but I removed it, b

  The cartilages of the larynx are one of my summer vacation projects. The raw data is from a CT scan and the nasopharynx can't be segmented properly. Eventually, I can segment the soft tissues as a bulk and the cavities as a separated mesh.

  Increase the threshold level. It looks like you are getting soft tissue included with your conversion. Make the threshold 300 or so and it should eliminate a lot of the soft tissue.

  Hi all. I have an interesting CT of a dog thorax with metastatic osetosarcoma. The file is over 500 MB so I can't load it. I reduced it from 1100 MB to 791 but need to reduce further. If I crop it more a good deal of the thorax will be lost. Is there another way to reduce file size besides cropping? Dan
