    MRI Cardiac Images

This is a collection of 60 cardiac MRI images of different patients collected based on in vivo clinical environment.
All the data cover the whole heart from the upper abdominal to the aortic arch.
The MRI data were acquired using 3D balanced steady state free precession (b-SSFP) sequences, with about 2 mm acquisition resolution at each direction and reconstructed (resampled) into about 1 mm.

    • Recycle PLA filament: 1·Reuse in printing: Grind waste into pellets for re-extrusion of filament. Mix with fresh PLA to improve quality. 2·Industrial composting: PLA can be composted at high temperatures for inspection by local facilities. 3·DIY projects: Turn waste into coasters or small objects, or use as filler for artwork. 4·Recycling programs: Some companies and makerspaces accept PLA waste recycling. 5·School donations: Art projects and schools often use PLA scrap in their projects. Keep it environmentally friendly and separate PLA from other plastics!
    • Ensuring good ventilation during 3D printing is essential for safety and print quality. Here’s a guide on how to manage ventilation effectively: 1. Choose the Right Location Dedicated Space: Set up your 3D printer in a dedicated, well-ventilated room, ideally away from daily living areas. Avoid Bedrooms and Small Spaces: Since fumes can accumulate in smaller areas, larger rooms or spaces with outdoor access are better. 2. Utilize Ventilation Equipment Exhaust Fans: Install an exhaust fan near the printer to expel fumes directly outside. HEPA Filters: Consider using a HEPA air purifier or an enclosure with a HEPA filter to capture tiny particles emitted during printing. Carbon Filters: For effective odor reduction, add a carbon filter to capture volatile organic compounds (VOCs). 3. Open Windows and Doors Cross Ventilation: Open windows and doors on opposite sides of the room to create airflow and allow fresh air in while pushing fumes out. Avoid Drafts: While ventilation is crucial, avoid strong drafts near the print to prevent cooling issues or warping in the prints. 4. Consider an Enclosure Containment: A 3D printer enclosure helps contain fumes and particles, and when paired with a ventilation system, it significantly improves air quality. Temperature Control: Enclosures also help regulate the printing temperature, benefiting print quality and safety. 5. Use Low-Emission Filaments Material Choice: Filaments like PLA filament emit fewer fumes than others, such as ABS or nylon. Choose low-emission filaments if ventilation is limited. Material Safety: Always check the material’s safety guidelines for emission information and choose eco-friendly options when possible. With these steps, you’ll maintain a safer, well-ventilated workspace, ensuring both the quality of your prints and a healthier environment.
    • Maintaining consistency in the quality of 3D printer filament is essential for reliable and high-performance prints. Achieving this requires attention to storage, handling, and printer settings, all of which influence filament integrity and printing outcomes. Proper Storage Practices Moisture is a common enemy of filament quality. Materials like PLA, ABS, and particularly Nylon are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb water from the environment. This can cause bubbling, poor adhesion, and inconsistencies in extrusion. To prevent this, store filaments in airtight containers with desiccant packs to control humidity. For frequent users, filament dryers are ideal, as they actively remove any absorbed moisture before printing. Regular Calibration Each type of filament may require specific settings for optimal printing. Regular calibration of your printer ensures it meets the necessary temperature, speed, and retraction requirements for different filaments. Extruder and bed temperatures are particularly critical, as small deviations can impact adhesion and layer consistency. Periodic checks on printer settings help maintain consistent quality across various print jobs, minimizing common issues like stringing or warping. Controlled Environment Filaments and printers perform best in stable environments. Extreme temperature fluctuations, high humidity, or dusty spaces can degrade filament and disrupt print quality. Set up your 3D printer in a dedicated, controlled area, and keep it free from dust and contaminants. A stable environment not only preserves filament but also reduces machine wear and tear, which contributes to consistency. Filament Monitoring and Inspection Regularly inspect filaments for signs of wear, damage, or moisture exposure. Older or improperly stored filaments may develop brittleness or kinks, leading to breakage mid-print. Filament management tools or software can also monitor filament usage, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout a filament’s lifespan. By implementing these strategies, you can maintain consistent filament quality, resulting in reliable, high-quality prints with every project.
    • Enhanced PLA filament is a game-changer for 3D printing enthusiasts and professionals seeking high-quality, reliable prints. Traditional PLA (Polylactic Acid) is already known for its user-friendly characteristics—like ease of printing, low warping, and eco-friendliness. However, enhanced PLA takes these benefits further, incorporating unique additives or modified structures that boost strength, flexibility, and visual finish.   One of the primary advantages of enhanced PLA is its improved mechanical properties. This filament often has increased tensile strength, making prints more durable and resistant to impact without sacrificing the ease of use PLA is known for. For makers looking to produce functional prototypes, structural components, or items exposed to moderate stress, enhanced PLA offers superior performance without the complexities of ABS or Nylon.   Another key benefit of enhanced PLA filament is its smooth, high-quality finish. With less susceptibility to moisture-related issues, it delivers cleaner layers and improved adhesion, resulting in precise, detailed prints with fewer defects. This makes it an excellent choice for aesthetic projects, intricate designs, or artistic creations that require both accuracy and visual appeal.   Enhanced PLA also has optimized thermal stability, allowing it to withstand slightly higher temperatures during printing. This not only prevents nozzle clogs but also maintains consistent extrusion, even at faster print speeds. Users can achieve high-resolution prints while reducing the risk of warping or stringing, leading to smoother and more efficient printing sessions.   Moreover, enhanced PLA is compatible with a wide range of FDM 3D printers, making it accessible and versatile for various applications. With its combination of durability, print quality, and ease of use, enhanced PLA filament is a top choice for 3D printing enthusiasts aiming to elevate their projects, whether they’re crafting artistic models or producing functional prototypes.
