Dan Cardosa
Hi all. I have an interesting CT of a dog thorax with metastatic osetosarcoma. The file is over 500 MB so I can't load it. I reduced it from 1100 MB to 791 but need to reduce further. If I crop it more a good deal of the thorax will be lost. Is there another way to reduce file size besides cropping? Dr. Mike
Is it a thin slice series? 791 seems very large, even for thin slices.
Dan Cardosa
Yes.. it is a large file on the entire thorax of a 60 lb. dog. I cropped out the head and abdomen because the original file was around 1300 images
Allen
Just curious, is there a way to compress the files using democratiz3d or a standard program like RAR / ZIP?
Dr. Mike
It may be helpful to crop out the air around the body in the scan. This is dead space but still takes of file space. You can often reduce the file size quite a bit by cropping this out. Zipping the file will reduce the size, but right now democratiz3D cannot accept that file type. Hope this helps.
