How do I create a viewable 3D model from BMP based CAT scan

I received a DVD containing around 2GB of files for a complex airway CT scan done last year.  The CD consists of 15 directories, each of which contain multiple BMP files.

i want to visualize this information on a 2d or 3d monitor, and I need to ensure that scaling is done appropriately, that 1mm in real life is the same as 1mm in the model.

 

What is the most appropriate tool to accomplish this?

You can try the ImageStacks module of 3D Slicer-it allows you to import non-DICOM images. Tutorial does list bmp as an acceptable format.
