Getting from DICOM to 3D printable STL file in 3D Slicer is totally doable...but it is important to learn some fundamental skills in Slicer first if you are not familiar with the program.

This tutorial introduces the user to some basic concepts in 3D Slicer and demonstrates how to crop DICOM data in anticipation of segmentation and 3D model creation.
(Segmentation and STL file creation are explored in a companion tutorial )

  This is interesting information, but the steps listed don't work. Specifically at figures 9 and 10, when you press the Compute button, Osirix brings up a new window with the identical series to the original. For troubleshooting purposes, I tried this on a Mac M1 chip as well as Intel, and I used the sample data from the download link as well as my own data. I also tried the paid version of Osirix MD. Same result every time. It's possible this used to work in earlier versions of Osirix and t

  Hi is Embodi3D still functional or in business? Subscriptions are not available and the launch app option to convert dicom to stl does not exist. Please clarify. Thank you.
