About This File

This is a scan of an 8 year old Pomeranian male with a pigeon chest birth defect, and stage 1/stage 2 collapsing trachea. The pigeon chest can make it difficult to read the CT scan. There seems to be something on his heart that vets can't quite see.

Scans may also include imaging of large cyst on kidney, kidney is still 100% functional, however cyst will eventually destroy it requiring removal. This also appears to be a birth defect and something he as grown with throughout his life.

Free to use for any vets interested on investigating tracheal collapse or teaching their students. We lost our other Pomeranian last week to lack of knowledge in this area, and neglect to provide referral to a vet hospital that could help.

I hope it might help anyone who can learn from it, and save other small dogs in the future.
