    14 5x2mm and 12 8x2mm neodymium magnets
    Printed on Prusa MK3S
    with 3D Jake ecoPLA Glitter Silver
    1,5mm layer thickness
    4 perimeters, 30% gyroid infill
    Support on build plate only, 200C extrusion temperature (except the first layer, which is 210C)
    60 hours print, ~600g filament
    80% of the anatomy curriculum.

    Full head HD set - bones and soft tissues

    This is a full High definition 3D model set of a head, made from 0,7mm CT scan. Caucasian female in her 20s.
    The set doesn't include the original dataset and the metadata for ethical reasons. I can provide the dataset as a personal request.
    The set includes:
    1. Full head model of a head with the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, the pharynx and the superior part of the larynx.
    2. Skull model with most of the foramens. The inner ear is NOT included in the set.
    3. Mandibula model.
    4. The first 6 cervical vertebrae.
    5. The hyoid bone.
    The models are accurate, with proper geometry and measurements, in their raw format. They are also 3d printable. I can slice and dice them in whatever format you need, but I'll have to charge you additionally for that.

    This is an industrial-grade model, with +/- 0,2mm deviation from the original CT scan, calculated by my own methodology. It's usual use is as a benchmark model for medical device development. 
    The hyoid bone and the thyroid cartilages are for illustration of the relations in the glottis and the larynx.

    Thoraco-abdominal aneurysm, preoperative model.

    This is a preoperative model of thoraco-abdominal aneurysm, Crawford typle I, with rupture above the diaphragm. The subsequent haemorrhagia in the mediastinum closed temporary the rupture, probably saving the life of the patient. This was an impossible operation, which took 7 hours and the team of the best cardio-thoracic surgeons in Bulgaria. I don't know how, but the patient is still alive and kicking. It took me 3 days to make the model and to turn it into a 3d visualization and I'll share my workflow with you. I'm printing the model right now for a cardio-thoracic surgery symposium.
    The source is Angio CT scan with 1,3 mm slide thickness.
    1. I analysed the model in Radiant Dicom viewer (you can activate trial license for unlimited amount of times, if you can't afford 100 euro for it). I selected the best series and exported them in a folder.
    2. I loaded the model in 3D Slicer. First, I run two denoising algoritms (Gradient Anisotropic Diffusion and Curvature Anisotropic Diffusion), which improved the quality of the images significantly. Then I selected a ROI, which included the whole aorta. With the Segment Editor Module I segmented the lumen of the aorta. Then, as a separate segmentation, I used the Margin operation to grow the lumen with 2 centimeters and applied a boolean operation, resulting in a hollow shell with precise lumen. I had to segment the rest of the aortic wall manually. I exported the result as STL file.
    3. In Meshmixer, I modeled the whole thing, until I was satisfied by the result.
    4. My client asked me to remove the aortic arch (it's such a pain, I love aortic arches) and to print the aneurysmal sac with the abdominal aorta and the bifurcation of the iliac arteries. Note the double renal artery. I divided the model into two parts and installed ports for two 8x2mm and two 5x2 mm neodymium magnets with tolerance of 0,250mm. The final preprint version is on picture 3.
    5. I'm printing this model with 1,5mm slide thickness, 4 perimeters, 15% gyroid infill, custom support with support enforcers, using red Natural PLA from a local manufacturer. The whole printing will take 45 hours.

    Love is in the air, so I made for you the perfect anatomically correct present for your medical professional lover. I added a set of lego wings model to  Dr. Marco Vettorello's amazing heart model.
    For best coronary artery visualization, scale to 200%. 0,15mm layer thickness(0,05mm on the upper layers for better visualization of arteria interventricularis anterior), 4 layers of raft, automatically generated support. I printed it on Prusa MK3 with generic natural PLA. If you break the wings or the holder during the removing of the support material, use cyan-acrylic glue to fix it. I added some glaze varnish "for extra kick".

    Reconstruction of facial malformation

    This is my version of the Phenix CT dataset from the Osirix Dicom Library - an infant with Treacher-Collins syndrome and aplasia of the left zygomatic bone and maxilla after a reconstruction surgery with an autograft. I wanted to preserve the small details of the maxilla and the nasal cavity, so I segmented them manually. It took me a week. The spine is not done yet - I'm redoing it and I'll reupload the whole set in the following week. The model is 3D printable, but you'll need a multi-material extruder with soluble support for this purpose - PLA/PVA will be best (PLA/PVA is much better than ABS/HIPS in my opinion). I hope you'll enjoy it

    Telencephalon, Pyramidal Neuron

    After one week of practicing with dr. Mike's tutorials, I was able to create 3D model of pyramidal neuron from 10gb CLSM (confocal laser scanning microscopy) Tiff slide. I almost burned my video card, but in the end I done it
    First I used Fiji to convert .tiff slide to binary (Process/Binary/Make Binary). Then I used Dilate function to reduce the size (Process/Binary/Dilate) and I cropped one of the most promising neurons (Image/Crop). I saved my stack as a .tiff and I used 3D Slicer to create volume (Volume Rendering), to convert it to label map and to export it as .stl. Finally I used Meshmixer to remove the artifacts, to decrease my triangle budget and to add a mild smooth effect. The result is here. I hope my experience will help you in your future projects. I'll create video tutorial as soon as I can.
