Adjusting Negative Z Value- calibrating your Printrbot

bethripley

The negative z-value describes the distance the extruder tip should be from the print bed. This value needs to be optimized to ensure the best print. If the extruder is too far from the print bed, the model will be stringy. If the extruder is too close, it can smash the print. Therefore, it is worth the effort to get it just right. The negative z-value is set via g-code.
