Terrie S
Maybe I'll write a tutorial on this: I have played around with the Split Volume tool in the Segment Editor in 3D Slicer and it seems like it would be pretty nifty for some of the files uploaded here, although it does require you to create segments first. Basically you make your segments, apply Split Volume and it creates a new NRRD volume for each segment--they're all available when you click Save. So if you're segmenting just bones, it gets rid of the soft tissue voxels. Mask Volume might do something similar but I haven't played with it yet.
