complete dicom data to required STL data

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I converted dicom to stl printable file via the online software.

Unfortunately, the complete data was converted into stl file. Instead, I intended to convert only the bone. How do I eliminate the unnecessary parts from the data.

I have attached scrrenshots of the converted stl file.

As you can see, one can not distinguish the bone here from the complete scanned data.

Kindly support me resolve this.

Hello, did you select the file with the axial view that have the full volume of the study? If you select the reconstructions (sagittal or coronal) you will get less volume.

Increase the threshold level. It looks like you are getting soft tissue included with your conversion. Make the threshold 300 or so and it should eliminate a lot of the soft tissue.
