Marcela
Could you please help me to find a tutorial of how to do a segmentation of a heart in 3D Slicer? Thanks
mikefazz
Hi I am assuming you have a scan from a gated MRI or a CT scan. If so I would try region growing as shown in my MRI segmentation tutorial:

Mohammad Yusuf
Hi. Did you get any tutorial for heart segmentation? I had attended Dr. Mike's sessions at RSNA but now that I am trying to work in detail to generate a model for the heart or the brain, I am finding it difficult to segment a model of the heart for 3D printing. Will appreciate if anyone can help. Thx
Dr. Mike
Try the segmentation module in 3D Slicer. You can exclude the mediastinal fat (low density) and contrast enhanced blood (high density) to only capture the myocardium. It takes some practice but with some trial and error, you can do it. I'll put creating a heart segmentation tutorial on my list of things to do.
Andras Lasso
You might find useful this video tutorial about how to segment whole heart using 3D Slicer's Segment editor: You can enable close captioning, as the audio is quite difficult to hear.
