Embodi3D blogger Paige Anne Carter recently posted an article about medication-infused filament that is being developed. While this can be used for making pills, where I see the greatest potential is in medical devices. I use intra-arterially injected doxorubicin drug-eluting beads as part of my medical practice to treat liver cancer. Cardiologists have drug eluting stents to treat coronary disease. Gynecologists have hormonal IUDs like Mirena. What future medical devices and implants can be made with this new technology?
