  1. What is the age and diagnosis? When I downloaded this, it looks all staggered like the slices are not lined up. Is that intentional?

Anatomically accurate, patient-specific sacrum generated from the computed tomography scan of a 43yo male, MEDLYMPH072, of the CT Lymph Nodes Collection of TCIA. The CT Lymph Nodes Collection is made available under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License. Sacrum has 6 segments or a sacralized lumbar vertebra. Individual has 5 lumbar vertebrae. https://skfb.ly/owXYo 3D viewer: https://skfb.ly/owXYz.

Anatomically accurate thoracic vertebrae from the computed tomography scan of an 18yo male, MEDLYMPH006, of the CT Lymph Nodes Collection of the TCIA (CTs made available under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.) Each vertebra was segmented separately to be solid and 3D printable. The 12 vertebrae are provided as separate STL models in a zip. 3D viewer: https://skfb.ly/oGxDO. Anatomically accurate bones from the computed tomography scan of an 18yo male, MEDLYMPH006, of the [CT Lymph Nodes Collection](https://wiki.cancerimagingarchive.net/display/Public/CT+Lymph+Nodes) of the [TCIA](https://www.cancerimagingarchive.net/) (CTs made available under [Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/).) 55 skeletal elements (starting with C6) have been separately segmented and are provided as separate STL models. Although the femur and humerus are truncated in the CT scan, the heads are complete for measurements. Separate models for this individual are also available for purchase: Ribs Lumbar Thoracic Other models for free: Scapulae Clavicles 3D viewer: https://skfb.ly/oGVzX View separated bones here. https://skfb.ly/oGVzU

  5. If you use Segment Editor to segment your skull then you don't need the Grayscale Model Maker--it's just another module in 3D Slicer for generating 3D models.
  6. Have you checked TCIA? If you check a specific collection, you can see what metadata is available. You can also search the New Mexico Decedent Image Database and request scans that meet your criteria (age, sex, weight, etc.).
  7. Yes it is being worked on. There is an alert at the top of the page here: https://www.embodi3d.com/files/.
  8. I think the service is still down. In Slicer, you can just upload one of the axial folders--maybe the one with the most images in it and see how that looks. DM me if you need some help.
  9. I can do this for you or help you to clean up what you made in 3D Slicer. There is a scissors tool in the Segment Editor that will let you crop a box or freeform shape around what you want or don't want if that would be helpful. You can DM me.

Anatomically accurate, patient-specific left and right scapulae of an 18yo male, MEDLYMPH006, of the [CT Lymph Nodes Collection ](https://wiki.cancerimagingarchive.net/display/Public/CT+Lymph+Nodes)of the [Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA)](https://www.cancerimagingarchive.net/). Note that scapulae were rotated from the original CT position (arms were raised overhead) so that the anterior surfaces could face anteriorly. Can be used to teach or practice siding of scapulae. Models are 3D printable. Viewer available on Sketchfab. [Pelvis](https://skfb.ly/o7Dw9) [Lumbar Vertebrae](https://skfb.ly/o7GMv) [Clavicles](https://skfb.ly/6YIOT)

Anatomically accurate lower spine and pelvis with 6 lumbar vertebrae instead of 5. The twelfth thoracic + ribs are also included. Notice the osteophytes and compression of L5 and L6. Pelvis can also be used for sex estimation. This file was generated from the computed tomography scan of a 75yo female, MEDLYMPH078, of the CT Lymph Nodes Collection of TCIA. The CT Lymph Nodes Collection is made available under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License. Each bone was segmented separately and can be 3D printed separately–the STL file consists of 12 meshes that can be separated (import into Meshlab and apply the filter “Split in Connected Components”). Model is also visible on Sketchfab (Sketchfab model includes colorized PLY in addition to separate STL meshes).

  12. The output will be an STL, so you just select which tissue you want segmented--bone or the other options, so you get an STL for what tissue you want.
  13. I saw that the RSNA 3D Printing SIG now accepts affiliate members who are not RSNA members. Has anybody done this? Since I'm not a radiologist, rad tech or biomedical engineer, I don't qualify for employment opportunities doing anatomic modeling, although I do get asked to contribute to/help with projects involving modeling. I was wondering if joining the SIG would help me to network with others and discuss forensic applications.
  14. Feel free to DM me if you need some help finding specific things. There are some great pathology examples here on Embodi3d too!
